Additional Business Categories

Every business in Shenfield and Hutton is entitled to one free entry in the standard SIC business category listing of their choice. Bold Text

Descriptive Text

Up to two lines of Descriptive Text may be added to your basic free entry, enabling you to provide details of your business or service, opening times, etc. 

Descriptive Text is only £20 per annum per line. The following example, based on Bold Text plus two lines of Descriptive Text would therefore cost £55 per annum. A 20% discount will be applied to the total if the same highlighting features are applied to additional identical entries in other business categories.

Link to Own Site

Link your entry to your web site. Clicking on your business name will take the viewer directly to your own site, opened in its full glory in a new full-sized browser window - not simply crammed into a frame page within the Shenfield town web.

The annual cost of a link to your web site is only £30. The following example, featuring Bold Text plus one line of Descriptive Text, would therefore cost £65 per annum.

Business Page

If you do not have a web site yet, but wish to provide viewers with more information than contained in your basic listing,, this is a cost-effective solution. Your entry in the main business listings of the Shenfield Town site will lead viewers to your own page on the Shenfield web. The cost of an Advertising Logo is £100 per annum, including Bold Text, one line of Descriptive Text and Links to your Own Site. Additional charges may apply if you do not have a suitable logo already.

Site Sponsorship

Promote your business or service on each of the 70+ pages of the Shenfield town web site. Your advertising logo, linked to your web site, will be displayed at the bottom of every page. The number of sponsorship logos will be strictly controlled to a single row of three logos to protect download performance. Your business category entry will be displayed in Bold Text, with one line of Descriptive Text, your business name and logo linked to your web site, plus a special 'Sponsor' logo.

There are two options for Site Sponsorship. A Shared Logo costs from £100 a year, whilst a Full Logo costs £250 a year.  The Shared Logo alternates between a maximum of three different businesses on a random 2-second time interval. The Full Logo is displayed continuously.

Web Sites

A web site is rapidly becoming more important and relevant than a listing in Yellow Pages. Very few businesses or services would not benefit from a web site.

It is not necessary to own a computer, or even know how to use one, to take advantage of the benefits of a web site for your business. Even e-mail, which is rapidly replacing the fax machine as a means of communication, need be no problem. A simple web site, consisting of one page of basic business details and contact information can cost as little as £125 a year, plus £150 for the initial design and set-up. 

A more typical web site, comprising of four to six pages of business details with a reasonable level of graphics and special features will normally cost £350-£500 for initial design and set-up, plus £240 a year hosting charges.

The sky is the limit for larger businesses requiring something more substantial and sophisticated.
