Shenfield Travel Guide

Welcome to the Shenfield web site we have useful travel information aimed at helping both locals and overseas travellers alike - so if you are loking for the best deals on car rental, hotels or want to know what's best to see in Shenfield then check out the links on the left hand side.

Shenfield is situated in the Essex borough of Brentwood and represent quiet and prestigious haven ideally located for London and the East Anglian coast.

Shenfield's shopping district reflects the up-market nature of the residential areas. With extensive free kerbside parking and off-street car parks, Shenfield will particularly appeal to shoppers tired of over-air conditioned malls, with their uncaring assistants and 'sameness' - the same goods, at the same prices, in all the same shops.

Central London is only twenty-three minutes travel by frequent fast train and the M25 and A12 only a stone's throw away.

We look forward to welcoming you to Shenfield.

Travelling to Essex: Hotels, Airports and Car Hire

If you are thinking about travelling to the UK then be sure to take a visit to Shenfield, Essex and the surrounding areas! The town itself is located to all the major London airports including Heathrow and Gatwick so if you are looking for quite-essential English, unspoilt place to visit with lots of things to do and places to see then make sure you include Shenfield as part of your holiday plans.

There are good hotels located in Shenfied, these include the Premier inn @ Brentwood, The Marygreen Manor Hotel and the Travelodge at East Horndon. Although the Premier Inn is the cheapest and situated close to the train station some reviews have complained of noise issues.

Car Hire
For overseas UK travellers we recommend you hire a car at one of the nearby airports. Easirent has several local London airport branches but we advise you use the Easirent Heathrow Airport Car Hire office. It is their largest branch and offers cheap car rental with plenty of choice for both automatic and manual cars.

If you are travelling into the suburb via train and wanted to hire a car then Brentwood is a great place to start. Jump off the train and head to Allied. They have a good selection of small and family cars at cheap daily rates.

Places to visit
For animal lovers, the Hopefield Donkey Sanctuary is a wonderful experience. You can find out how donkeys are loved a cared for and why it is important to support the work the centre in caring for these placid animals.

Motorsport fans can head over to Brentwood Karting for a thrilling adrenalin rush. Be sure to book at least two sessions as this place is a serious fun fest, perfect for groups of lads looking to have a great day out!

Finally, Weald Country Park is an unspoilt place of stunning natural beauty. The winding, forest walks proving to be very popular all year around and it is also dog friendly.
